New PPA Module Topic Available - Depression in Pregnancy and Postpartum

The AOBOG is pleased to announce a new PPA module topic. "Depression in Pregnancy and Postpartum" is available on the O-CAT platform (www.osteopathic-cat.com).

As a reminder, the OCC Component 4 requirement is 2 Practice Performance Assessment (PPA) modules and/or Quality Improvement (QI) activity attestations per 6-year OCC cycle. Modules are due by September 15th of the year your current certificate expires.

March 2017 OCC Exam Results Posted

The results from the Spring 2017 OCC Cognitive Assessment Examination have been posted in each individual candidate's secure portal on the AOBOG website. Once you log in, you can find them under the “Statuses” tab, under the heading “Examinations.”

The score posted reflects the number of questions answered correctly out of the 150 questions on the exam.

Additional details (including current OCC status) will be sent via USPS shortly.

Changes to REI Exams - Beginning Fall 2017!

Beginning with the Fall 2017 exam administration, the subspecialty certification and OCC exams in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility will no longer require candidates to submit case logs as part of the application. Instead, the candidates will be tested on a series of preset clinical scenarios. See the full explanation in the Document Library.

(A research paper will still be required for initial certification REI candidates only.)

Important Change to OCC Component 4 (PPA Modules)

The AOBOG is pleased to announce a change to Osteopathic Continuous Certification for our certified physicians.

The requirement for OCC Component 4 - Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement (PPA) is now decreased to a total of 2 PPA modules (instead of the previous 5 PPA modules).
